Monday gone saw Splendour done and dusted for another year.  Uncertainty remains over it's location for 2012, however most people aren't too concerned about venues, just as long as it's on somewhere.  Even with numbers down this year the weekend provided the same awesome vibes that splendour patrons have been accustomed too over the duration of this festivals existance.  Pretty much everything about splendour is amazing.  Huge acts, three days and nights, on site camping, chilled atmosphere, and a complete lack of fuck heads with spray tans, big muscles and tight fluro singlets.  Due to my financial situation I was forced to jump the fence this year.  On one occasion I was caught by a festival employee who sussed my intentions, gave me a hug and helped me through the next gate.  Only at splendour could an act of such compassion be demonstrated, and for this I will be back next year.  Perhaps with money.

I come from a family plagued with receeding hairlines, deformed feet, and a history of various cancers and other potentially life threatening diseases.  On a positive note my sister has quite an interesting artistic flair and has nearly finished her graphic design degree.  You will be seeing her work on shirts over the next few months.  In the mean time here are a few shots from her facebook page.

The Sunny Coast has had some decent waves on offer over the last couple of months.  As is often the case though, weve been missing one crucial ingredient to really get cooking,  good banks.  While getting barreled hasn't really been an issue, finding one that will let you out has.  The sequence below is of a grom who lives across from my parents house in Kawana named Dylan Roberts.  Dyl took his old boy down for a little photo session and managed to sneak out of this little gem right in front of the lense.  If there is one thing more rare than finding a shoulder amidst a sea of closeouts it's your dad getting the shot of it happening.  Seems the stars alligned for the young fella this day.
